WILLIAMSPORT- The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced that Kristina Johnson, age 69, formerly of Boalsburg, Pennsylvania, was sentenced by Chief United States District Judge Matthew W. Brann to 15 months of imprisonment for falsification of records during a bankruptcy proceeding.According to United States Attorney Brian D. Miller, Johnson and her husband, John J, Johnson II, were owners of the Springfield Bed & Breakfast in Boalsburg, PA. The Springfield Bed & Breakfast filed for bankruptcy in 2022.
As part of the bankruptcy proceedings the bed and breakfast continued to operate as the Johnsons attempted to reorganize their debts. The Johnsons were required to submit monthly operating reports to the bankruptcy court. However, the reports submitted to the bankruptcy court by the Johnsons included false information about bank activity and also concealed the existence of a bank account that was not disclosed to the court. Along with her husband, Kristina Johnson previously entered a guilty plea in this case in November 2025.John J.
Johnson was sentenced to 18 months of imprisonment in March 2026.The United States Bankruptcy Trustee and the Federal Bureau of Investigation investigated the case. Assistant United States Attorney Geoffrey W. MacArthur is prosecuting the case. # # #
