HAMMOND – Morrell Steven Neely, 65 years old, of Chicago, Illinois, was found guilty of wire fraud after a two-day jury trial presided over by United States District Court Judge Philip P. Simon, announced United States Attorney Adam L. Mildred.Sentencing is scheduled for October 6, 2026.This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Francis Sohn and Philip Benson.
