TOPEKA, KAN. – A federal grand jury in Topeka returned an indictment charging a Kansas man with offenses related to drug trafficking and illegal firearms.According to court documents, Danny Ray Stano Jr., 44, of Topeka was indicted on one count of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, and one count of conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine. Stano allegedly had five firearms that he is not allowed by law to possess, and he is also accused of conspiring to possess methamphetamine with the intent to distribute. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is investigating the case.Assistant U.S. Attorney Jared Maag is prosecuting the case.An indictment is merely an allegation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.###
