HAMMOND – Angel Mario Rosas-Martinez, 40 years old, of Mexico, was sentenced by United States District Court Judge Philip P. Simon after pleading guilty to felony reentry of removed alien with a prior felony conviction, announced United States Attorney Adam L. Mildred.Angel Mario Rosas-Martinez was sentenced to four months in prison and a $100 Special Assessment.According to documents in the case, Rosas-Martinez’s criminal history includes two prior convictions for attempting to or illegally entering the United States, theft, a felony conviction for stalking when a temporary restraining order was in effect and was previously deported on three occasions.This case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations, with assistance from the Jasper County Sheriff’s Officer. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Emily Morgan.
