HAMMOND – Eli Martinez-Martinez, age 39, of Mexico, was sentenced by United States District Court Judge Philip P. Simon after pleading guilty to felony reentry of removed alien, announced United States Attorney Adam L. Mildred.Martinez-Martinez was sentenced to time served, based upon his detention since his arrest on September 5, 2025.According to documents in the case, Martinez-Martinez was previously removed from the United States in 2011 and 2022.This case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Kevin F.
Wolff.
