PITTSBURGH, Pa. - A former resident of Youngstown, Ohio, pleaded guilty in federal court on March 2, 2026, to a charge of cocaine and methamphetamine trafficking, United States Attorney Troy Rivetti announced today.Wade Shaw, 51, pleaded guilty before Senior United States District Judge Nora Barry Fischer to one count of possession with intent to distribute quantities of cocaine and methamphetamine in September 2023.Judge Fischer scheduled sentencing for May 28, 2026. The law provides for a maximum total sentence of up to 30 years in prison, a fine of up to $2 million, or both. Under the federal Sentencing Guidelines, the actual sentence imposed is based upon the seriousness of the offense and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant.Assistant United States Attorney Craig W. Haller is prosecuting this case on behalf of the United States.The Sharon Police Department, Farrell Police Department, Mercer County Drug Task Force, Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, and Federal Bureau of Investigation conducted the investigation that led to the prosecution of Shaw.
