ALBUQUERQUE – An Ohaky Owingeh man pleaded guilty to assaulting a victim in 2019. According to court documents, on August 28, 2019, Ashkia Trujillo, 31, and enrolled member of the Ohkay Owingeh Tribe, assaulted Jane Doe and the assault resulted in serious bodily injury.Trujillo pleaded guilty to assault resulting in serious bodily injury and faces up to 10 years in prison at sentencing.First Assistant U.S. Attorney Ryan Ellison made the announcement today.The Bureau of Indian Affairs investigated this case with assistance from the Ohkay Owingeh Police Department.
