PITTSBURGH, Pa. - A resident of Sharon, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced in federal court to 84 months in prison, to be followed by six years of supervised release, on his conviction of drug trafficking and firearm crimes, United States Attorney Troy Rivetti announced today.Senior United States District Judge Nora Barry Fischer imposed the sentence on Corey Adkins, 29.According to information presented to the Court, in January 2025, Adkins engaged in armed cocaine trafficking from his Sharon residence, where Adkins’ girlfriend and a young child also resided and were present at the time. Adkins had been convicted twice for cocaine trafficking during the preceding eight years. He pleaded guilty in January 2026 to possessing with intent to distribute a quantity of cocaine and possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.Assistant United States Attorney Craig W. Haller prosecuted this case on behalf of the United States.United States Attorney Rivetti commended the Sharon Police Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Adkins.
