Privacy policy
This page explains how ProofAML handles information when you search public records or subscribe to list alerts.

Search and offline records
Names and identifiers entered in our search and screening tools, and files you upload for screening, are processed in your browser. These tools do not send your screening inputs to a matching server. Search links use a URL fragment to keep the query out of the web request.
Your browser can store public list records, application files and a theme preference for offline use. These are stored on your device. You can remove them using your browser’s site-data controls; doing so also removes offline availability. Opening an external source link connects you to that source’s website and its own privacy practices apply.
Google sign-in and email subscriptions
Signing in is optional and is only needed to save email subscriptions. Google and Firebase Authentication handle sign-in. Your account record can include your Google account identifier, verified email address, display name and profile photo. We use your verified email and account identifier to associate your chosen lists with you; we do not receive your Google password.
When you select Save subscriptions, we store your verified email, selected list identifiers and the time of the update in Google Cloud Firestore. We use these details to deliver the list alerts you requested. Signing in or choosing checkboxes alone does not subscribe you.
Our local email process reads saved preferences and checks the verified account before sending. It records recipient addresses, selected lists and delivery history to combine additions and avoid duplicate messages. Messages are sent through our configured email account using Apple Mail; the email provider processes the recipient address and message content to deliver them. We do not use Google account information for advertising or sell it.
Your choices and retained information
You can change your lists or choose Unsubscribe from all lists on the subscription page. Unsubscribing removes your saved list preferences. It does not automatically delete your Firebase account, previous delivery records, backups or messages already delivered to your inbox. Signing out also does not unsubscribe you.
We retain account and operational records to manage the service and prevent duplicate delivery; there is currently no automatic deletion schedule for those records. To request deletion of your account or information held by ProofAML, contact puneet@proofaml.com. We may need to verify that the request concerns your account.
Website connections
Our website is delivered through Amazon Web Services. Visiting it makes ordinary network requests that can include your IP address, requested page or file, browser information and request time. Service providers may process this information to deliver and protect the service. This is separate from the screening inputs processed locally.
The current site does not load advertising trackers or optional analytics services. Google sign-in uses Google’s authentication services and browser session storage; their handling of information is described in Google’s privacy policy. Other websites you follow from ProofAML operate independently.
