Zorgelijke ontwikkeling solvabiliteitspositie OFS onderkende de zorgelijke ontwikkeling van de solvabiliteitspositie en zag ook in dat kostbare maatregelen nodig waren om het renterisico te beheersen. Vanaf het voorjaar van 2023 heeft OFS gezocht naar een structurele oplossing om als kleine levensverzekeraar te kunnen voldoen aan de wettelijke eisen. Uiteindelijk heeft OFS besloten tot omzetting van een vergunningplichtige levensverzekeraar naar een natura-uitvaartverzekeraar, die is vrijgesteld van de wettelijke (solvabiliteits)eisen. Voor deze vrijstelling moest OFS voldoen aan bepaalde wettelijke voorwaarden en moesten alle individuele polishouders instemmen met de beperking van de opgebo (official source)
